Employee Feature - Jeff Reuter

Meet Jeff Reuter, our Senior Account Executive! Jeff is one of the friendly faces helping our clients feel confident and protected, whether they’re insuring their first home or their growing business.

We sat down with Jeff to learn more about what inspires him, what keeps him busy outside the office, and the little quirks that make him such a great part of our team.

Role: Senior Account Executive

How did you land in insurance? My father was in insurance but had retired from it in 1987.  He helped get me going in the industry in 1995. I told him, if he could do it, so could I!

How do you take your coffee? Generally black but sometimes I like a little milk.

What is your favourite pastime? I love mountain biking but if I'm feeling lazy, I love reading a good non-fiction book.

Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents? My wife and I love to curl in the winters. I like mountain biking in the summers, traveling when I can and most recently, I joined an axe throwing league.

How would you describe your job to a 2nd grader? If you give me a certain amount of money each year, I'll pay for new toys if you lose yours.

What is your favourite hangout spot in Niagara? Port Dalhousie Yacht Club.  It has a patio on the waterfront and a beautiful view of the sunset.  The food and beer are pretty good too!

What is your favourite Insurance fact? It's a little known fact that Alien Abduction Insurance is a real thing. In 1987, the UFO Abduction Insurance Company in Altamonte Springs, Florida, began offering abduction insurance to individuals who were interested in purchasing it. The policy is for $10 million.
