About the Championships
The World Rowing Championships are the pinnacle of competitive rowing, attracting the best athletes from around the globe. This year, the championships will be held from August 18th to 25th, and our local venues are prepped to host thousands of rowers and spectators.
Why the Name Mega Worlds?
The Senior, Under 23, and Under 19 World Rowing Championships are usually held as separate events, but in an Olympic and Paralympic year, these championships are combined into one event known as the Mega Worlds!
Venue: Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course
Nestled in the heart of the Niagara region, the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course in St. Catharines is the perfect spot for this world-class event. Known for its top-notch facilities and picturesque surroundings, this venue has a rich history in rowing and promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Steven Page Concert – Oars & Encore
Get ready for an unforgettable evening with Juno award-winning artist and former Barenaked Ladies band member, Steven Page. Enjoy an exclusive concert with an opening guest appearance by Niagara’s own singer/songwriter, Evan Rotella. Proceeds from this event support the success of the 2024 World Rowing Championships. Mega Worlds Fan Festival
The Mega Worlds Fan Festival is a free, four-day outdoor celebration featuring live entertainment, food vendors, and local artisans. Join the fun from August 21st to 24th, 2024, at Rennie Park for an amazing festival in support of FEED Niagara, an initiative aimed at stopping hunger in our community. Get more details.
