Supporting the Future South Niagara Hospital

Caring for our community isn’t just part of what we do, it’s at the heart of who we are. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share that together with Portage Mutual Insurance, we’ve donated $5,000 to the Niagara Health Foundation in support of the new South Niagara Hospital.

This project represents an exciting and meaningful step forward for health care in our region, and we’re grateful for the chance to play even a small part in shaping a healthier future for Niagara.

Rooted in Community Care
Community health care has always held a special place in our hearts. Our President, Scott Maskell, comes from a family deeply connected to supporting local hospitals and the people they serve. His grandfather, Ernie Maskell, was a long-time board member with the Douglas Memorial Hospital Foundation and a passionate advocate for accessible, community-driven care.

That spirit of giving didn’t stop with Ernie. Scott has proudly continued that legacy, dedicating many years to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Golf fundraiser team, helping raise funds that directly benefit patients and families across the Niagara Region.

For us, supporting the new South Niagara Hospital is an extension of that long-standing commitment. It’s a way to honour the past, uplift the present, and invest in a brighter future for everyone who calls this community home.

The New South Niagara Hospital
The new state-of-the-art South Niagara Hospital will bring expanded services, modern facilities, and more integrated care to residents across Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Port Colborne, and surrounding communities. When the doors open, families will have improved access to emergency services, diagnostic imaging, and specialized treatment.
